- Shylah Eells I'm a woman. I'm a woman who has experienced violence. I think the ban is ridiculous. It's a video game. It centers around crime and violence, but it's a work of fiction. If you don't like it, then don't buy it, but don't deprive everyone else of the opportunity to decide for themselves.
- Nathan Stanogias It has the highest rating at R18+, so legally kids under age shouldn't be playing, and it's up to their parents to monitor their children's gaming. If you pay attention to GTA V – whether you're walking around on the side walk or reloading your weapon mid-mission – you'll see that it's an intelligent parody of the world we live in. It's written very well, and it's an admirable impression of Californian life.
The game can be played peacefully, too. If people are concerned about the coarse language that's in the game, turn your television on mute, take control of the remote and drive around peacefully obeying the road rules. It can be used as a tool to educate your children, if they reeeeeeeally have to play it. Did feminists and angry, rage-filled parents think of this option?
